About The Core Bank

This program is dependent upon cooperation between participating shops and Sparrs Axle Machine Inc. The low price of our service is primarily because many of the axles in our core bank have been provided by shops from cars taken out of service or axles previously replaced. Generally, participation in this program requires adding two axles to the core bank for every 30 to 40 cars in your district. In order to continue building up the core bank, please send any axles or spindles you have to us. Should a car be taken out of service, please add to the core bank by pulling out the steer axle and sending it to us. Please do not throw axles away. Call the order line toll free at (888) 600-3776 and we will arrange to have any axles picked up at our expense.

Using axles as quickly as possible also helps. Please use and return cores to us within 20 days. This helps all participating shops by making less common axles available to everyone in this program.

How The Program Works

Do not hesitate to leave an order on our voicemail. We know most mechanics work at night and we are accustomed to dealing with that.

The axle requested will then be shipped to you by truck complete with I-beam, spindles, and king pin set fully assembled, greased and ready to install.
When the axle arrives, change out the axle and put the core back on the crate within 20 days.

Call order line toll free (888) 600-3776 to arrange for pick-up. We will fax paperwork to you for the pickup. Lay the paper we fax with the axle(s) to be picked up in plain sight. A trucking company will come to pick up the axle.
